About Me

Photographer. Designer. Stylist. Seamstress. Writer.

I am an artist with several disciplines that all inform each other. Photography is my first love and my formal education.

In soft focus. Based in Paris.

Using natural light and a soft, film-like aesthetic, I create images that capture the nuances of motion, mood, and focus. I embrace motion blur and soft focus, a love that comes from my early training in analog photography. I learned in a darkroom before ever touching a digital camera.

I have a BFA in Photography from Columbia College Chicago and worked as a Prop and Wardrobe Stylist in advertising for 12 years.

I am usually in the middle of a good book and draw my inspiration from mythology, psychology, and philosophy. I love freshly roasted coffee, need yoga and meditation to thrive, and have a weakness for beautiful textiles.

I am also creating an indie photo magazine called Soft Focus Folio in celebration of softness in all its forms.
